Springdale Farm
Animals
Our grounds are open to visitors!
Since the start of the pandemic, most of Springdale’s animals have been at neighboring farms, except for Ricky the Pig and 60 cows. We look forward to the return of our barnyard friends someday as staffing allows. At this time, there are no plans to reopen the petting zoo, but families are welcome to enjoy outdoor spaces including our woodlot trails and playground.

Working to welcome back
Barnyard Animals
In 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, all animals were transferred to local farms to ensure they stayed happy and well as much of our programming was closed. We’re pleased to share we are working to secure the staff and necessary permits to bring some of the animals back in the coming months. At this time, there are no plans to reopen the petting zoo, but families will be welcome to come and see the animals in their fields or pens. Currently, visitors are welcome to visit our farm mascot, Ricky the Pig, and enjoy the outdoor spaces including our woodlot trails and playground.

Nature at its best
Duck Pond
Our spring-fed pond is home to fish and animals.
When visitors take the path north of the farm, they pass a small apple orchard and arrive at a picturesque duck pond featuring an accessible fishing dock. Springdale Farm’s pond is spring-fed and features ducks, geese and other water fowl.

Working dairy
Robotic Milking Center
Working dairy showcases futuristic farming
The milking center is a working dairy that showcases advancements in dairy farming, a robot that milks cows without the farmer’s help!
